Reno leads the way for Lamar County’s weather safety
Recently, Climavision, a Louisville, Kentucky-based company that sells climate data to media companies, announced that Lamar County and the City of Reno, along with five other rural counties across the state, is helping the National Weather Service fill weather blindspots, known as radar gaps, through Climavision’s partnership with the National Weather Service to provide weather data collected by Doppler radar equipment installed atop Reno’s city water tower.
