Weather forecasting helps the drone industry take flight
Drones by their nature are very weather vulnerable. What may be benign weather to larger aircraft can significantly impact the operation of drones. Current aviation weather analysis and forecasting systems were designed for regions where large, manned aircraft fly, in closely observed parts of the airspace around airports.
